We are proud to state that Illini Manor is owner-operated... that is, we not only manage the building, but we own it. Unlike the management of most other campus area apartment buildings, we have no third party to answer to and we are more interested in operating the building for the long-term investment rather than taking short term profits. We have been managing apartments/studios/efficiencies/flats for over 30 years and have operated Illini Manor since January 1, 1976.

Additionally, we are both U of I graduates, having each lived and studied on campus for 5 years (back in the 70's). Jim spent his 5 years working as Resident Manager of Charmor Apts. at 107 E. Chalmers and Gayle lived at Bromley and in 3 other campus area apartment buildings. As former students and tenants we do understand the student/tenant perspective. We have assembled a very capable and loyal team to help us manage our apartments. These fine people have helped us earn and maintain our unblemished reputation of excellent service and quality buildings. We are pleased to introduce our staff below:

Office Manager - Cindy Brewer
Cindy is our Office Manager. Cindy is a 1991 Parkland College graduate. She received her A.A.S. as an Administrative Assistant with a minor in Business. Cindy graduated from Greenville College in May 2009 with her Bachelors degree in Organizational Leadership. Cindy is attending EIU working on her Masters degree. She came to work for us in December of 1993 and we won't let her leave! Cindy manages all six of our properties and handles all aspects of the rental business. She is the one to talk to if you have any questions, comments or problems. She is a true professional and always happy to help.

Summer Office Assistant - Rachel Street
Megan is a graduate of Ouchita Baptist University with a BA in Musical Theatre. Rachel has worked for us over the past 7 ears as an apartment cleaner. You are sure to enjoy her pleasant demeanor and bright smile.

Office Assistant - Megan Graham
Megan is a sophomore here at the U of I. Megan is studying journalism and brings lots of computer experience along with a bright smile and pleasant personality with her. She will assist Cindy in the office duties. Megan will be happy to assist you in any way that she can.

Building Maintenance - Joe Stancook
Travis heads up our maintenance department. Joe Stancook joined our team in March of 2010. Joe comes to us with an extensive maintenance background. He will be taking care of our properties and your maintenance requests. If you have a problem in your apartment/studio/flat/efficiency, just let us know and we will have Travis take care of it promptly. Prior to joining the Illini Manor team, Travis worked for his family business as a licensed electrician. We know that you will appreciate his friendly service. For Summer 2010, Jim Carver will be returning to assist Joe with projects and repairs around our properties. Jim has worked for us on and off for the past few years and has first hand knowledge and experience with our apartments.

Resident Manager - Kandace Walker
Kandace is one of our Resident Manager this year. Kandace lives in #124, just across the hall from the office. We are sure you will enjoy her pleasant personality and her vibrant smile.
